Thursday Thirteen
It's Thursday again.... Man, do the weeks ever fly by. This week I am doing "E". Not an easy letter by any stretch of the imagination but I did manage to find 13 "E" things.
1. Earrings.... I like earrings. I don't wear earrings all the time anymore but I do when I want to feel dressed up. My favorite kind are small dangling crystal earrings. I like small gold hoops too.
2. Eucalyptus... I now love the smell of eucalyptus. Especially in candles. It has a slight medicinal smell and I never used to like it but otherwise it smells interesting and it has grown on me.
3. Eggs... I am an egg person. I love eggs for breakfast. Especially scrambled with a bit of cheddar cheese in them for flavor. Deviled eggs rock too.
4. England.... This is a place I would love to visit. Most of the ancestors on my Mother's side came over to Canada from England. There is so much history for me over there; I would love to go one day and explore all the villages and towns where they lived, the streets they walked on, and the graveyards where they are buried.
5. Easter.... I love Easter. I revere the religious aspect of Easter but I also love it because it symbolizes spring for me.
6. Evergreen Trees... I love evergreens. It is nice to see some green among all the bare deciduous trees in the winter. I love how evergreens peek out after a heavy snowfall.
7. E.T..... The movie. This was a great movie about E.T. the adorable alien and the kids who tried to hide him out in their bedroom. Drew Barrymore was so cute in this movie. It was such a feel good movie.
8. Elizabeth: The Golden Age... Another good movie which I saw over Christmas for the first time. I really enjoyed it and Cate Blanchett as Queen Elizabeth was great as was Clive Owen who portrayed Sir Walter Raleigh. It was based on events during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I of England.
9. Early Morning Rain... song by Gordon Lightfoot... love it.
10. Elves... They are a creature of Germanic mythology according to Wikipedia. They have been portrayed to be long-lived or immortal and as beings of magical powers. They were featured in many of my most loved stories and fairy tales as a child.
11. E-Mail... My link to the world. Without it I would be lost.
12. Eagles... The bird and the band. Eagles are such a majestic bird. They are a fascinating, larger than life bird. I also love the musical Eagles. I have been a fan of theirs for most of my life.
13. Economy.... Not really a fan right now since we are in such a global economic slump and when times are good the economy is something we mostly take for granted. I look forward to when times improve and we can resume living our lives without fear for our future.
...........................................................................................................................................................
I am going to list again the last 13 songs I listened to on my Ipod because I find it fun to do.
1. A Lot of Love by Nicolette Larsen
2. I Need a Hero by Bonnie Tyler
3. Sacrifice by Sinead O'Connor... love this version
4. First of May by the Bee Gees
5. Leader of the Band by Dan Fogelberg
6. Sweet City Woman by the Stampeders
7. Always Something There to Remind Me by Naked Eyes
8. The Lion Sleeps Tonight by the Tokens
9. Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses by U2
10. Avenue A by Tom Cochrane and Red Rider
11. Hooked on a Feeling by B J Thomas
12. Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me by Elton John
13. Sing by Theo Tams (2008 Canadian Idol)

Great list. I love Don't Let the Sun go Down on Me. Happy T13!
I love the list - - my kids love the pug licking the screen!! Very cute!!
E is also for "Excellent."
I'm a huge fan of the Eagles too. I grew up listening to their music, and I'm still in love with them. =)
Check, check and check. I agree with you on just about this whole list. Except for the song Early Morning Rain - I haven't heard it, or anything much by Gordon Lightfoot. Thanks for coming by my blog. :)
Oh I like almost all of your e things:)
I like eggs too. They don't always like me, but I'm willing to work with it.
Mmmm... Eucalyptus. Just good on so many levels. I love Eucalyptus and Rosemary and lavender in a blend for massage or bath.
Happy TT!
I'm up at both Thornesworld
and with my very first TT at my new blog, Eclectic Witch!
I hope you'll stop by!
I love earrings too, but I don't wear them as much as I used to because I have to wear a headset for sometime during the work day. Great list of E :)
Haha, all the songs on your iPod have been played on mine sometime in the last week as well. Apparently we have good taste in music.
Earrings, love them too.
Eucalyptus trees, they're all around me.
Cate Blanchett, a truly excellent movie and a wonderful actress.
Great list. Happy TT! :)
I am SO with you about Eagles of both varieties. The Tour Manager found a golden eagle hanging out across the street a few years ago. What a reason to plant a tree -- maybe an eagle will perch in it!
Great E list! I too love England, and am a definite Anglophile :)
I think eggs are a great food!
I'm so sleepy, I thought Elves was Elvis, and then I read the description and got all confused. :)
I am totally impressed with the letter memes. E is a hard letter. Great list!
you did a GREAT job on E. That is a challenge...
Thanks for coming by to visit my 13!
#1 - Me too, love earrings, in fact I love jewelry of all kinds!
#2 - Did you know that eucalyptus is great for getting rid of fleas??
#3 - I like eggs for dinner - eggs benedict is one of my favorite meals.
#4 - Great history, funky favorite foods but fab people!
#5 - Chocolate Bunnies!!!
#6 - The evergreen smell is nice.
#7 - Turn on your heartlight!
#8 - I'm kind of bored with period movies but I do like Cate Blanchett
#9 - and real early morning rain is nice too - gives the air a fresh clean smell.
#10 - I especially loved them in The Lord of The Rings - and I like the term "Elvish" And I found an Elvish Name Generator! My Elvish name is Máraran Anárion, lol.
#11 - yup, cheaper and faster than snail mail
#12 - Eagles are so majestic though I can't apply that term to the band, lol
#13 - I'd just like to see the talking heads get a little more positive on the whole economy issue.
Thanks for stopping by My TT on the Top 13 Best Picture Oscar Winners today!
Good list. E is a hard one. Hooked on a Feeling, by BJ Thomas is an oldie but goodie.
How fun to have two lists!! I love love love eggs - will eat them at anytime! :)
"E"xcellent list! Like you, I would love to visit Englad and see the town where my grandfather and generations before him grew up. Some day...

Double 13s - I love it. I also love eucalyptus and evergreen - they both make me think of Christmas.
I think you've found some great E's; I agree on most of them. :)
Thanks for visiting my TT!
I'm with you on most of your E's, except, maybe E.T. I've never seen it. It just happened to come out at a time when I was of an age to not like cute stuff & so I've avoided it like the plague my whole life in honor of my teenage self who abhorred it.
I love all things on your list except I don't know about #8. Haven't seen it yet!
Eggs. I love eggs. Poached on toast is my favorite.
My favorite E is...Elisa. My name. :)
Happy TT!
I love eggs too! We have scrambled eggs, pancakes & bacon once a week for dinner. Eating them at night feels silly to the kids, so they like it. But I just love eggs. And it's an inexpensive meal too.
Very good list. I like all those things too!
Our tastes in music are very similar. Thanks for stopping by my blog to check out my first 13!
Great list! I thought Thursday was tomorrow! I missed the T13 train!
Impressive "E" list. All that popped into my head were the poor Expos of years past - but I suppose if you enjoyed baseball you would more likely be a Blue Jays fan.
Eggs-cellent list! hhaa, I crack myself up!
Thanks for visiting my T13
Cool list, I love scrambled eggs, they're also good with cream cheese in them. Or poached eggs (especially on corned beef hash).
Happy TT.
"Always something there to remind me"
I loved that song! I shall add it to my playlist!
I loved both of your lists of TT!
I would be lost too without email ! I don't even know anymore stamps, lol !
Hm, interesting lists, especially the songs. I like the ones I know and now I have to go and listen to the ones I don't know to see if I might like them, too. :)
Happy TT.
I love the list. I don't think I could have come up with so many great things for the letter E! Thanks for stopping by. Happy TT!
